12vDC-5vDC Converter

I just picked this up for $52 HKD (about $6.80 AUD) in Ap Liu Street Sham Shui Po.
The idea is to use it to power my 5V USB Hub from a 12V Supply.
Has anyone else tried this?
James

After heaps of problems with the power supply for my USB hub (voltage fluctuating between 0 to 5 volts!), I bought one of these from Jaycar. Now supplies a constant 5 volts from the 12 volt DC supply. The USB to DC input cable is the hardest part to find.

I've been using the Maplin's version (similar to the Jaycar) to power my 7 port USB hub for the last few years...no issues - it does what it says on the lid.
