NGC55 from cloudy Melbourne
No use giving particulars on this.
Had to throw away loads of frames because of intermittent clouds.
The picture is a bit soft but well i have to do something when it is sort of clear in Melbourne
Love it Martin - best 55 I've seen for a long time. Nice colours coming through. Most renditions tend be a bit of "amorphous blob" variety.
(or is that just all I can manage )

I had a go at this a couple of weeks ago, you don't see much of this galaxy, plus little to no Ha in just about everything I have seen too. Presume as earlier images it's the trUsty ed80.given your issues you've done well.
As for clouds, I'm just a few ks up the road at yarra junction and you so often look back to the city and it's cloudy down there but clear up here. Anyway it's looking like a cracker tonight.

It looks like it will be a corker tonight, clear as a bell ATM.
It took me about 4 Hours to put my 127mm Achro on the G11 today (can't use my right arm because of a shoulder operation) and i am going to see if i can do some color imaging with it.
Focal length is 1250mm and i might get more detail in NGC55 with it.

Yes, Martin, this is nice. Love the asymmetry in that galaxy. Wonder what has caused that feature?

In Wikipedia it says it is a irregular galaxy much like the magelanic clouds.

Trevor, i think you will see that the elongated stars are in fact galaxies
And my guiding works very well.
Just loaded the latest beta firmware on my G2 and not long before we can test pec (first telnet has to work ).
