Jewel Box

Hi Guys

Another shot from the Coona new moon weekend and this time, I chose a cluster shot more so because I was unguided than anything else.

The Jewel Box I think is one of those clusters that deserves long focal length or a super wide field that captures the Crux as well.

Still,I hope you enjoy It.

Superb field! You've picked up that red neb in the coalsack on the left. I have a shot nearly framed the same way here.

I agree, plenty of wow there. Even just got the carbon star next to Mimosa in the frame? Plus a little bit of red fluff out at 8:30.
Nice.

Very nicely executed and well framed shot. It's nice to see RCW 71 there over near the edge.

Cheers

Steve

Very very nice Louie! Not easy to imagine the jewel cluster this time of the year, it gets very low quite early.

Nice place coona, isn't it?
