The End is Near----ish

Hi all,

As mad keen astronomers we must all get the scope's out as tommorow is the end of the world so it is the last night for viewing and you wouldn't want to wake up tommorow and realise that you will not see the stars again

PS
Please let's keep all discussion within the TOS

View what?? Aaahhhh the clouds you mean
And waking up tommorrow is a nono unless you you didn't die and then it wasn't the end of the world after all
This was typed all within the TOS

I was just reading about it on all the News services around the world.

One 85 year old man believes the world will end on Saturday, so why does it make world news
He claims numerology showed him.

This stuff comes up every year. I've lost track of how many times the world has ended!

Now, I wonder how this thread will go with keeping religion out of it (according to the TOS).
I expect we will read all the usual Religion bashing comments over and over again as we do every time something like this comes up

Hopefully not

I will ask for the moderators to lock it very early if it goes pear shaped, but I think we can have fun with the thread if we keep to astronomy

Bugger, it is cloudy. If this is the end and I can't see the stars I had better start on the wine collection instead.

you better stay pissed all day as well so you don't have to suffer the hangover. I think you will have to account for the time difference it ends at 5pm but in which time zone

Who cares another good excuse to get .....

"I said to the wife I'm getting drunk tonight and staying drunk all day tommorow"

she said

"Well whats you excuse this time"

I replied

"Someone on IIS said it'll be the end of the world tommorow"

she said

"thats fine, dear, if someone on IIS said it, it must be true"

All these doomsday profits never seem to tell us 'how' the Earth is going to end, as I want to know how to be prepared.
