It was clear here tonight but a big moon made it very bright for any kind of imaging.
After seeing a couple of very nice 6188 images I decided it would be a nice one for a Ha run.
Here is the result of 7 X 15 minute exposures captured with a QHY9 Mono, Baader 6nm Ha filter and a Takahashi FSQ 106ED at f5.
I think this image could do with a bit more exposure to bring out it's best but it may clean up a bit yet. This is just a stretch on the combined image without any other processing.
Nicely done, Doug. Pity the Moon is out so bright but that's what we have to live with. Luckily, NB isn't so stressed out by the Moon, but darker skies will make things a lot better.
Thanks everyone. This is a very busy area which lends itself to Ha imaging very nicely. It has all the levels of detail which makes Ha shine through as a method of extracting detail without sacrificing the target object to a big blurr.

Thanks Mike, Yours makes mine look very small and very ordinary. That scope of yours is something else. Nice as it is it's not worth the 2 octave voice change I would have if I arrived home with one.

That would be very nice but would still cause a significant raise in vocal scale. I have a reducer for the FSQ which takes it out to f3.4 which I have yet to use to any extent. Perhaps I should try this first.
