Outstanding visual scope for planetary, lunar, nebulae, split doubles and clusters. With a dedicated reducer a/o flattener the TOA 130 becomes one of the best imaging 'scopes around.

The "100mm focuser extension flange" is the stretch of machined aluminum you see between the scope tube and the focuser.
It is very rigid and is used primarily for AP to avoid any extra stress on the photographic chain by removing the need to use the smaller Takahashi, black extension tubes. Also gives more back focus (it says here).
Perfectly OK for visual as well.
