That's alright. I like to send the kids to their room and tell them to count to 100 backwards.

Could not watch any more clips of three and a half men. Turned off after first three questions.

I did not bother to watch. I have seen those type of shows before. They are designed so that the average person can answer enough questions to feel good and think their IQ is better than it probably is.

I remember the sample IQ tests that were in ads to join MENSA 50 years ago. I answered every question correctly. I knew I was not that good unless the questions were rigged. I did not apply to join!

When I used to sit on an interview board I used to try to find something out about the interviewee and then ask technical questions about something I would not expect them to know. I was not looking for the correct answer just how they approached the problem. I recommended some people without any qualifications and ignored many with university degrees. I always got someone who could do the tasks I had in mind.

I told my son it should have been called the National Entertainment Test , nothing to do with IQ about it.

What is the 9 network's target demographic? 30somethings and Gen Y?

That seemed to be the group they were sucking up to.

And as for the questions with incorrect answers. 1d10t5.

I didn't even know it was on.

Then again I was absorbed in an interesting book on Beekeeping.

Since I didn't watch it I think I must be of above-average intelligence.

Barry, I think you are right. Even TV addicts can get a warm fuzzy feeling of superiority. Kind of like the Lake Wobegon slogan - 'Where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking and all the children are above average'. Of course everyone know the true measure of intelligence is how well you perform on 'Norman'.

Jjj, TV is that thing used to watch the cricket, the rah-rahs and not much else.
