To all PixInsight users - it looks like standardised manuals are on the way soon... good news indeed. I've been hovering over my installs (cross-platform) of PixInsight for months, but have never really given it a real go. It's very hard to shift from Photoshop. This should hopefully rejuvenate my interest as it's a damned powerful tool and deserves to be investigated fully.
We are glad to inform you that an integrated documentation system for PixInsight has now been designed and implemented. It will be released with the next version of PixInsight, and is now being used intensively to write the official PixInsight Reference Manual, a collection of reference documents for all standard PixInsight tools.
The new documentation system includes PIDoc, a new markup language used to write PixInsight documentation efficiently, and the PixInsight documentation compiler, which parses PIDoc source files and generates XHTML/CSS documents integrated with the local PixInsight documentation system.
For a detailed description, PIDoc and compiler documentation, and several example documents, see the corresponding announcement on PixInsight Forum:
