Magnificent vista on Sinus Iridum!

Hello lunatics,

The Aug. 14 lunar session is coming to the end and I saved the best shot (whose I'm proud of) as the last one!
As rarely happens, I'm completely satisfied with this photo whose sharpness, sun angle and light balance are all OK to my eyes for a change!
I consider it as one of my best ever lunar pics, hope you can enjoy with it as well!

http://www.lazzarotti-hires.com/2010...us-iridum.html

I couldn't resist to image more and more the same area also on the following night and later on September with a waxing Moon still low in the sky!
And the good seeing never missed...who knows why...
Thank you for your attention!

Simply Stunning Paolo,

I think this is about the most detailed Luna image I have ever seen.
I feel that whatever adjectives I can come up with, they would be inadequate.

Regards
Trevor

A most beautiful lunar portrait Paolo. More so than others of the same genre, this one gives a very lifelike ‘fly over” impression from the composition, lightning and sun angle. I can really imagine myself in lunar orbit peering out of the window of the lander!

The slumped terraces and central peaks of Pythagoras are quite stunning!

Cheers

Dennis

What can i say that hasn't been said already. I know, WOW!! That is just simply awsome.

You would swear that you were flying over the moon instead of stuck here on earth.

Thanks very much for posting Paolo.

Hi guys,

Oh my, how many comments!
Wish I could reply to any but I can't.
So, I thank you all with no exception!

Dennis - I've just commented your magnificent solar image which is also amazing by any point of view!
A spaceship flying over there would have melt, so I'm pretty sure your image is ground based!

I wanted to be an Astronaut, so I could go to the moon and see it up close.

Now I don't have to, thanks to Paolo.

Astonishing.

Cheers
