Have you considered splitting it up?
I'd be interested in the Lumicon filter depending on what type it is

Hello Guy

I was attracted to purchasing my first telscope, as I was told about Australian Geographic stores having the Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT on sale now for $799 (New) I already got a price offer from an online store that were asking $940 to $750 delivered, so I guess this may be a "run out" model. And while trawling the net to ensure it is worth buying I saw this advert here, and I live near Perth WA too (Woodvale, NOR), looks like you are in Muchae (nice sky away from the city lights I guess). I am interested in your unit, does it have all the parts boxes etc from new? Any additional accessories (Power adapter etc..)?
I am not a time waster, and am looking at buying very soon.

On that point, does anyone here have any input as to if this is a worthy starting point for the purpose?

First post, please be gentle.

Mark

Can email me on my "real" email address of woodvaliens AT iinet DOT net DOT au (learnt that from someone else here, stops bots picking an email account for spam, I hope)

Celestron User

Mark,
I have had a Celestron 130 SLT for several years and find it is a great little scope for visual use.
I have used it at several Public nights and once tracking, find it keeps objects well and truly in the eyepiece.

I have tried imaging with it but find the aperature is a little small for DSO's but OK for planets.

I don't believe it is run out as Celestron still have it as a current scope on their site.

Thank you for your input. It was a shame that the seller did not reply.

Try to stay warm if you are out this time of year (At night).

Kind Regards

Mark
