Hi guys, I've been doing some more playing. Here is a quick wide field from last Saturday night. ISO 800, 93s, Canon 40d at f4 28mm using a wide lens. I was hoping to do some stacking of a few of these from the night to reduce the noise but the best i could do was this one shot, with some editing of course. I think that my tracking needs some serious help, sick of those big globs...just have to keep at it I guess. Steve
I had the scope roughly aimed a Sagittarius. Next time I'll have to put the camera on the front piggy back mount! Digital Photo Professional is on a CD that came with the 40d, an excellent program that can do amazing things with colours. The Moon photos with the colourful textures are fun with this program too.
Thanks for all the positive comments... isn't it funny that the stuff you sometimes spend the least amount of time pleases people more than the elusive prime focus shots! I have now included the original image if you'd all like to have a look. At the expense of bringing out more colour i have lost the star sharpness, and tips? I have also included the original just with contrast up and brightness down..
