SE Qld get together

Just thought I'd copy this here from one of the Astrofest posts, just incase the SE Qlders forgot. I'll definately be there.

Quote:
For all you SE/Qld members I will have my place available for an astro night on the 3rd September if anyone is interested in coming, that is the night of the New Moon. astroron
Any other takers?

I'm not likely to make it - though you never know! I think I'll be heading out to Leyburn that weekend. Its been a while since I have been out there and it's about the same travel time for me to either location.

Pop on up for a chat Ian. It's only an hour or so by train to Nambour and the train leaves right outside the airport. And its only half an hour to Ron's from Nambour.

SEQld update

Paul, Dennis, Gordon

Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I did bring a camera with me but as I was late it took me until dusk to set up so I didn't get any shots of the group. Did you take any people shots Paul? I thought the seeing was good tho not exceptional. Those who went to Leyburn were clouded out.

How was it! How was it! How was it! Did get out, but only from my apartment balcony in suburbia. Spent the weekend whale and dolphin watching from Straddie (my other "passion").
