Jupiter in spectacular seeing

Thought this warranted a thread on it's own :-)

The seeing this morning was downright perfect for much of the time, felt like I was channelling hubble at times...

Here's the first image off the processing...

cheers, Bird

Another excellent image, Anthony.

What I would give for some seeing of that type!

Can't wait to see what else you've got from this morning.

Very nice
Jupiter was great viewing from my location as well at 400am.

Hmmm I just sus'd out how I can adapt a perminately borrowed nikon D70 prime focally without moving the primary mirror to my SW 8" Allready got the T-ring adapter, now I need a short 2" adapter to suit the nikon T-ring.

Nooooo its thunderstorms rain cloud lightning , its all here .

PS. "It should be illegal to post images like that without some hint of what was used or how it was done (or is it a trade secret) ".One said with complete envy .

Hmmm, one to stick on the wall Anthony.

Wonder how long before you can beat that image.

I don't think its a 10/10, in this day and age one would call it a 11/10.

Good stuff and well processed. That detail is so fine.

Very nice and subtle processing, yet the detail still jumps out. Just beautiful.

I'm still going through mine, been busy today and haven't had much chance to process anything Damn fog ruined my perfect night but still some good data.

Can't wait to see more from this mornings session.. And more to come tonight!
