AstroPlanner 1.5.9 update

Guys,
Paul's continued to maintain and once again upgrade AstroPlanner, a wonderfull, powerfull observering catalogue, database etc also talks to most ( read all) GOTO telescope mounts.
Robin has also developed DSLRShoot; I'm doing Beta 2 trials on my Canon 350D. This script actual allows multiple long exposure control from an observing list in AstroPlanner.
If you haven't tried a palnning program.... this is the one for you!!

I have to agree. This package is the best planning tool I have ever seen, particularly for my minor planet work. At a glance I can see when I can observe my targets, for how long (days, weeks or months ahead) and where they are in relation to things like my observatories horizon (due to wall height and other obstructions) and the moon.

Cheers

DSLRShoot - beta trials!!!

Robin has worked his magic!!!!
The script now allows full control of the 350D exposures AND now has the option of multiple exposures per object ie you can take 4 x 40sec of each object in the database automatically. Fantastic!!!

At least that's one decision in life you won't regret!!
Paul's busy at work on the V2 upgrade. He's also released a script to calculate the field rotation with Alt-Az mountings based on nominated CCD chip sizes.
