Making Vixen refractors

Hi All,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv6mA1POktU

Above link shows how Vixen refractors are manufactured in Japan, from the objective lens, telescope tube, mount head etc.

Fascinating! Enjoy!

Best regards,

Bill

Thanks for sharing Bill. Both of my Vixen refractors are fully made in Japan, so it was interesting to tour the factory.

Cheers

Canon lens - how they are made in English

Hi All,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovxtgj4SsiI
Making Canon 500mm f4 lens

Lacking English translations for the Vixen factory tour clip, this clip in the link above in English shows how Canon lens and coatings are made, which share similar processes and as a substitute to how the Vixen objective lens are made.

Now I understand better why good lens in fracs and cameras costs good $$$!

Enjoy!

Kind regards,

Bill
