The drought in Melbourne is over...I got me a Parracor!

With the drought in Australia affecting so many people I was wondering what I can do to help the country out. I could put in a low flow shower head...done it. I could put in a dual flush loo...done that. Rain tank, not much use when it doesn't rain! What I needed to do is something that would MAKE IT RAIN. After thinking of all the options I decided to do the most reliable rain making exercise known to man...I bought something for the scope!

Enough of the yumor...time to look at me!

I picked up my TeleVue Visual ParaCorr last night. Of course it has worked..it has rained in Melbourne since about 4:00am and is still raining now at 8:00am. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it can't rain forever...the record is forty days and forty nights isn't it?

For those coming to Ballarat, I will have it with me if you would like to take one for a test drive.

Thanks for making it rain (at least a little)!

Congratulations on the new gear...I'm very curious on your commetns after using it a while.

A Parracor is on my longer term "wish list"...along with a few other things.

Thought of the same thing.
Purchased a new telescope and it came last night and I was sure at least it would cloud over, but no perfectly clear.
So I star tested it and it failed miserably.
Now I'm raining on the inside.
Have to send it back and I'll know if the new one is at all decent optically it will rain like the devil.
