Booked a room downtown & took my better half to watch the 2012/3 fireworks.

Hi Peter - What was your exposure/aperture/iso settings? I tried doing this last night and the fireworks were either over-saturated or exposure was too short to capture the whole display.

Gee. I'm surprised at the feedback. Thanks guys. Have a great 2013!

My prognostication is: this will be the year of the Comet!

Well there is a surprise! I didn't see it as worthy...more of a holiday snap..... but hey, thanks Mike for the tip 'o the hat

P.S.
While we did indeed have a harbour view...make sure you insist on a room above the 14th floor at either the Four Seasons or Shangri La to ensure a perfect view....

While our accommodation was not bad, the best views were down by the Harbour...hope you had a great evening!

Roll on 2013 and hopefully......some ice falling from space toward our sun for even more spectacular fireworks!

Canon F4.0 IS 24-105mm L....if I take only one lens, it's usually that one.

P.S. I was shooting through double-glazed windows to-boot.
