Magnet to set off unipolar hall sensor

Hi everybody
As part of a Arduino rotator project I am working on I have a hall effect sensor and was wondering how big a magnet is needed for it?
Here is the sensor

Something like this?

I have no idea!!!
Thank you
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,
A tiny fridge magnet can set them off in close proximity (almost touching)

There is some information in the datasheet that can be easily research.

operating point typically is 90 Gauss, so a magnet like this one will suffice between 5 and 10mm.

Unfortunately you cant get this information from eBay, especially any from China. But in general small one should work well.

To get the Gauss reading - https://www.supermagnete.de/eng/faq/...x-gauss-magnet

Ps look for the center of the detection rather than the first activation, it is a bit more repeatable that way.
