Omega Centauri with 9.5" CDK and ASI 1600mm

Hi everyone,

5.5 hours of Omega with a 9.5" f/7 CDK scope and ZWO 1600mm camera taken from the ASV's Leon Mow dark sky site over the weekend.

All images were 120 seconds.

What a great object this is, and it was the first time I have imaged it with this set up.

Colour and interpretation is always personal and subjective - enjoyed trying to process this image trying to bring out the mid-life yellow stars that this amazing cluster has within it.

The image is cropped a designed as a close up.

Clear skies.

This is nice John. I like the resolution. Which 9.5" CDK did you get?

Thanks Paul - from someone with your award winning images, appreciate it.

The scope is the completely re-engineered ODK10 that Stefan re-built with re-ground primary and secondary mirrors. Now fully reborn thanks to Stefan - the master of telescope re-engineering! - so it can start achieving it's potential!
