Noise creation issue with Deep Sky Stacker

Hi guys,

even though I am moving away from DSS, I am still using it in the short term.

In my latest stacks from the weekend, noticed a strange noise pattern that has emerged. Did a run from last month's stack as the acid test and def. not the camera and it did not happen previously in DSS with the same stack!

Have turned hot pixel removal on and off and it's not that setting that seems to be causing it.

I am sure there is a simple explanation to this (grrrr!...).

Anyone else come across the attached noise pattern after stacking with DSS?

appreciate it.

Can you elaborate with some more details (before/after)?
I never saw anything like on your sample images.
