Original Mini though.
I've been around car restoration most of my life, and currently trim them for a living, love it!!
Can be frustrating though but rewarding, like astro imaging.
Attached my original 850 in 1982, and my current 1968 deluxe and 76 Mini S, plus my current rest 850.
Cheers,
Justin.
I love em, back twenty year ago I drove a burnt orange Clubman GT bored out to 1310 with dual SU's. My wife drove a stock Mini 1100 for a decade. My brother in law had a Riley Elf that was a sunday drive, but alas we sold them all, at the time you need the money and they go.
Are you any relation to the Tilbrooks that had a Mini workshop at Hampstead Gardens in SA??
I remember waking up in an ambulance after my boyfriend and I and two mates were cut from a 1275 cooper S on the M6 just south of Forton Services in 1968.
The front wheels were about where the front passengers' heads would have been if they weren't squished on top of me.
We all survived, but barely.

Hi Tim,
Yep love my Mini's, it's amazing how many people get a smile on their dial when they see a mini.
kids too.
You should get another Mini.
Did'nt know there was Tilbrook"s specialising in Mini's, good to know.
As far as being relations don't know.
Probably related to Tilbrook's Brake service clan.
Interesting to see how popular the Mini still is. B ut not all that surprising. I had a 76 clubman gt. That thing handled like nothing else. Quick as through the hills. My wife had a Mini moke at the same time. what a heap of junk that was.

Yes the Mini had a long run from 1959 until 2000 in the UK, they stopped in 1978 in Australia thanks to a poorly run British Leyland which sucked the life out of the more profitable Australian operation. Over 5 million made world wide.
You can still buy parts easily, in fact you can build a complete Mini from new parts available.
VW beetle's (rallied one), had a few SLR5000's one L34 with the race kit, some LC coupes, HB Torana with a sigma engine, early Holdens (FJ,FE,FB) coupla Commodores (turbo was the only half good one), Mercedes (450SEL and a 280 twin cam manual compact), Japanese , had a few Honda N360/N600 and Zed, many early Galants (rallied one or two), First type VR4 Galant, couple of early Lancers (one ex southern cross rally - still with me) , Pajeros! great cars.....thinking of an Evo4 RS or just finish the hot rod.....
Used to have an old mini 850 van you could sleep two in the back with the seats forward and do other stuff to , like all of them hated train lines and any bumps an jumps in the road and neglectfull young people owning them .
I'll drop a pick of another mini in here at some stage that I used to wish was on the road many years back ,, and it still isn't ,, one of a kindish I think .

Thanks Graham!
Ah a Mini van, been after one for ages.
Trying to find a mini van for restoration is a tall order these days.
They rust out badly and any with a good body are too expensive.
Came close once, must learn to keep my mouth shut though!
A chap said he knew of one for sale for $300 dollars, I said sold!!
When I asked for a description he said it was round nose 998 windowless van.
Foolishly I said that's a rare one.
You know what happened of course.
Thanks for posting video too, they make hair raisingly fast little beasties with some tech under the bonnet.
Great Hill climbers.
The Japanese name for the Seven Sisters {PLEIADES} is SUBARU [meaning "unite"] and the logo of that automaker is a stylized representation of that cluster on the grill emblem.
