New WO motor for focusers

These look good - I particularly like the way most of the weight is evenly distributed under the focuser - I'm not a fan of most motor designs that bias their weight to one side. Evidently will be adaptable to a range of different focusers...

Wow, that's fantastic. William Optics are on a roll these days. They have all these great accessories.

Greg.

Doesn't mention whether or not its DC or stepper motor but it does have a HOME function which makes it look like a stepper. It'd be nice to have more info.

Its a nice unit, but also I'm wondering that too. Can't see that they would fit a stepper in that housing. I've just motorised my WO GTF81 with a stepper, but done it directly with a flexible coupler. Trouble is I have to microstep and with the reduced torque I needed a whacking great NEMA17 stepper.

The WO design gives me a few ideas - thanks for posting Jason! Don't see any reason why you can't use your Celestron focuser Jeremy
