Image calibration of a non-cooled ASI Guider
Howdy,
I'm trying to setup a dark library for a non-cooled ASI guider in Maxim DL.
The camera dutifully reports the temperature at which the calibration images are taken. Maxim records the temperature in the master dark file. When you try to do full-calibration of the guiding images taken a bit later in the night when the ambient temp (and hence the camera) has cooled down, the images aren't calibrated as the temperature of the master dark doesn't match. The amp glow of the guider is still visible in the image.
An auto-dark taken at the same time removes the amp glow, but as this is a remote setup, I can't manually put a lens cap on to take an auto-dark every night.
Open to suggestions/advice,
