H-alpha Sun 21 july

Yet another installment of Sol from yours truly.

I've slowly made some changes on how I capture and process solar data..not the least of which is a new Lunt B3400 blocking filter.

Keen eyes will see the chronospherical edge shows spickules decidedly more clearly than many of my earlier efforts....which I have to say I'm quite happy about.

Most of my imaging is now at around 2000 mm, I leave the resolution up to nature..which was co-operating on today's image.

A lack of activity meant not an overly spectacular sun, but I hope you enjoy the view.

Even without a lot of solar activity, still a breathtaking image

fair go - thats just not fair as it does show the crispy whispy edge in spectacular detail. So is this BF3400 the magic spice that makes all things nice? or is it the other secret herbs in photon processing macros?
