Very first astro pic from Tamleugh, Victoria

This is 4 shots of 8 seconds using a Canon 85mm lens with my Sony A7s and mere tripod, taken from a spooky dirt road near our yet to settle property in Tamleugh, Victoria. No darks used, just bias. Suffice to say I'm absolutely stoked about the dark skies there! A funny story, Elizabeth my partner was huddling in her warm car (it gets real chilly there at night, easily 6 degrees colder than Melbourne), then she gets out at one point while I'm taking pics on the tripod. She says 'ooh, it's pretty cloudy out, that's a pity'. I look up and realise she has mistaken the rather bright milky way for clouds! Remember, she was just sitting in the car browsing her bright phone.

I aimed for the Southern Cross and Coalsack, but got greedy and figured I could fit more in

That's a very nice location! I've had a few -5° at Heathcote this year. Might not be frosty inside the caravan but I can assure you it's ruddy cold!
