Planetary Nebula in Aquila NGC6781
This is a little planetary nebula in Aquila, NGC6781.
It's quite small for the 10" F4. Need M&T's 20" ! 755 x 30 seconds, full spectrum Canon 1100D, Baader Semi-apo filter, Baader MPCC MKIII, HEQ5 Pro unguided.

A great shot, Kevin, and well processed. A pleasing background too.
We ex-medical types think the PN looks like a basophil white blood cell, stained with haematoxylin and eosin.

Really nice Kevin! I think many of us would like to have a 20" on hand
Your 10" just means you need 1000+ subs

Lol I suppose it does a bit. I reckon a dark field microscope is just like looking at the night sky. A bacteria colony looks like a globular star cluster!

Thanks Colin. I was thinking of getting a small cmos camera for these little PN's like the ZWO ASI 178 or similar. Only need the center of the field.

Nice shot of this one Kevin. It's always been one of my favorites but somehow I've never managed to image it myself.
Cheers

You'll have to image it Steve. You have to get it soon though.

Thanks very much Greg! Some images are a chore to process and some are fun. This was a fun one.

Thanks Louie! Yes there is a little structure there. Needs more FL though really to bring it out.

Thanks Paul! I'm getting withdrawals now as that's the last thing I have imaged.
