First time Tarantula

It seems that this target is very popular now which makes sense.
Monday was the first time I had a go on NGC 2070.
I also had Sharpcap working with my Canon camera and did the polar alignment. Slewing to the target I used Stellarium.
The hand controller hasn't been used for a few sessions now.
Another new item was using TeamViewer to sit inside while checking on the progress on my tablet while the laptop was sitting next to the mount.

Still a lot to learn in post processing.

Mount: SW HEQ5 Pro
Scope: SW ED80
Main camera: Canon EOS-M6 M2
Guide camera: ZWO ASI120MM mini
Software used: Sharpcap 2.9, APT, Stellarium, PHD2, TeamViewer, Photoshop 2020

Attached is the full picture and a cropped version.

Hi Wilco great first attempt. What sort exposure durations, ISO, and number of exposures are you doing here? Are you stacking the exposures in some software - not sure if Sharpcap does that, can be done manually in Photoshop, but deepskystacker if free and easy ;-)

Sorry, I thought I mentioned it here but I didn't.

30x 60 seconds ISO1600
30x 120 seconds ISO1600
Darks for both included.
Stacked in DSS

Great wide field shot Wilco, well done.

You can add as much time as you like over the years ahead!

Make sure you backup the data...

Thanks Peter,
I have finally "mastered" plate solving in APT and NINA and they came up both with the same RA/Dec which is a good thing. :-)
Now I can go back to the same location every night when I set up and ad more data.
