Laser damage to camera sensor

I did a post last month about the possible effects of a laser light show in Brisbane on aircraft, but it didn't elicit much response.

However, I was looking at the Canon POTN site today, and came across this thread which is worthwhile reading for anyone who uses a DSLR when there are Green (and maybe other) lasers being used. I have taken a few shots of laser reflections in glass panels, and haven't had any problems, but others haven't been so lucky.

Beware, Green lasers and Sensors don't mix.
