Alignment of planets

March 21st (Sat). A nice alignment (conjunction) of 3 planets in the east this morning. This single exposure image was taken with a Canon 550d camera using a 10 second exposure. The thin crescent moon (not in frame) was also in this region. Pluto and Mercury are also in this area but not visible in this image.

Thanks for sharing the image, it was a pretty sight this morning with Jupiter and Mars close and Saturn below them and the crescent moon and Mercury lower down. Didn't bother trying to image the conjunction but did visual for an hour or so between 5:00 and 6:00 am with an ED80. Seeing was good and could just make out the Cassini Division in Saturns' Rings at 150X. Cloud bands on Jupiter were easily seen and even Mercury showed a half lit phase, allbeit quite tiny, same with Mars' disc, at only 6 arc sec.
