BTW, today I learned something:
In attempt not to use batteries for debugging, I tried to make dummy with one of old & empty LP-E5 enclosures I had in my stash.. At first, it didn't work when I connected 7.5V to internal B+ and B- terminals.. then I remembered the third contact (BC.. Battery Condition?) was connected between two Li-Ion elements.. so I used 2x 2.2k resistors to provide VBAT/2 voltage to BC terminal, and my dummy now works just like the battery.
