Comet Lovejoy from Broken Hill

Well, have been inspired by all of the great Comet Lovejoy images to have a crack at it.

As planetary imaging is my passion its been a very long time since I aimed my 450D at the night sky.

Woke the wife and son at 3:40 AM and drove out of town in the Landcruiser on hi-beam, glanced out the window and to my surprise could see Comet Lovejoy clearly. A pretty amazing sight indeed.
This shot is at 17mm F4 and is a 50 sec exposure.

Thanks for looking
Regards
Trevor

Thanks Guys, reckon it does look a bit like hi-beam lights on Santa's sleigh.
You just gotta see this Kev, my lens doesn't do it justice. Mind you, I had forgotten many of the lurks regarding computer control of my 450D so if its clear tomorrow morning I reckon I can do a lot better job second time around.
