Thanks Marc - yep sure does resemble a gas flame to me too!
I like the colours too - nothing to add about the apparent softness, other than maybe compare it with
this one maybe I used too much NR or collimation is slightly out?

As mentioned above, different/unusual can be a good thing - treading the off-beaten path certainly can have it's pitfalls, and occasionally, some nice rewards as well
