Hi all.
on Sunday night Cloudfreenight.com indicated jetstream winds over Newcastle would be light, so should mean good seeing, so I imaged something small, the Eightburst Nebula in Vela. Got good polar alingment thanks to Sharpcaps platesolving ability in its polar alingment feature. got to within a few ars secs.
Image is 10 x 3 mins and 3 x 10 mins for better inner detail. Hardly had to make any dec corrections even in the 10 minute subs.
10 inch f5.6 newtonian, on the old Sampson mount, modded 350d, uv/ir filter. Baader MPCC coma corrector. Hand guided. Images calibrated in IRIS, finished in Photoshop.
Cropped image here also full frame image here
