Saturn, Venus and Mars in broad daylight

After a rainy and cloudy week in the New Zealand North Island, it cleared up in Whakatane and setup my ED110 scope this morning at 9:00 (07:00 AEDT) and looked up Saturn. It was visible without a problem.
Later on at 14:30 (12:30 AEDT) I looked up Venus, obviously without a problem, but the much fainter Mars (+1.4) showed up in the deep blue sky.

I enjoy chasing the planets in daylight too. Often, conjunctions are at their closest approach point during daylight hours and these are worth a look.
The "all five naked eye planets lined up in the daylight sky" is on my list to observe. I have managed four but still havn't caught all five yet.

Hi Steve. I got up early morning last night in Sydney (couldn't sleep), just to watch Saturn and Jupiter; along with Iota Cancri , Porrima and even Zubenelgenubi in the ETX 125 this time , what a delight they all were!!
bigjoe.
