Comet C/2014 R1 (Borisov) and supernova SN2014dt in M61

I totally suck at framing these things! Another comet near another supernova. Dawn light interfering. It was only 15 degrees up.

Another good one, Kevin.

I need to keep a comet list of all that I've observed / imaged. I used to but have become lazy with the finer details these days.

Another interesting conjunction Kevin!

Are you an early riser ???
Or just can't sleep, cause you take a lot of early morning images.

Make feel a bit slack really.

Cheers,

Justin.

I have trouble sleeping at night Justin. I get restless leg syndrome. I feel like a zombie at the scope, but it's better than rolling and tossing in bed. Then I tend to binge sleep to make up for it. I hate RLS.

Yep!

I used to have the same problem, still have the occasional restless night.

I found magnesium and 30 minutes on the exercise bike every night has helped.
Of course everyone is different.

Cheers,

Justin.

I've been taking 500mg of magnesium a day for the last few months. I think it has helped with the headaches, but not the legs. I also walk for half an hour a day, unless I'm mowing or pruning the jungle. I have other multiple problems which contribute to being restless. I'm just broken.

At least you don't fall asleep AT the scope, Kevin! Several times over the years I have looked up and realised I had been happily Kipping in my scope chair for an hour or so, or I have nodded off and woken as my eyeball presses against the eyepiece!

Nice catch Kevin.
I woke up at my puter outside one night/morning with a damn cobweb from my specs to the screen.

No, actually I have a bed beside the scope and have a little lay down while shooting. One night I woke to an unintentional 30 minute sub!
