Extravision Australia

Anyone dealt with them? Reliable? Genuine? (I cannot tell if they are a site sponsor since I block all ads)

Appreciate any reviews, as I am interested in a couple of their Baader offerings that are much cheaper than Agena USA or Teleskop-Express, which USUALLY ring alarm bells in itself.

doesn't look promising - more a seller of gunsights if anything. And the scopes list are all rubbish, like the worst of what used to come from Trashco.

It is my understanding that Extravision are the Australian importers for all Baader products. Local dealers source their supplies from Extravision.
I have no direct experience with them.

Hi Lewis

I have dealt with them before - they are the Baader distributer here and generally have a range of these on hand at quite good prices. Not sure if they still do, but I managed to get the filters through them directly and paid one of their retailers for the filters - still worked out much cheaper than elsewhere to get the full LRGB and NB filter set including Hbeta and they had them on hand. At the time they wouldn't sell direct (they might now) as they had/have a policy of not undercutting their retailers and asked which retailer had told me about them, they contacted him with the wholesale price and I went back and paid for them after taking delivery of the filters on the spot.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered direct from them.

MASSIVE saving over T-E and Agena - for example, the Baader finder base is $41 US from Agena, shipping extra. Extravision sold it for $50 AUS - a $2.50 saving on just the purchase price alone (Agena shipping is $18 US)

Then the Baader T2 Maxbright diagonal... well over $100 saved.

Well, let's see how it goes. I paid with Paypal so if it all goes to pot at least I am protected.

I've bought from them a bunch of times as they're just up the road from me, they're solid. They supply a lot of the NatGeo to the stores too, so on-site they carry a fair bit of astro and binoculars. It's not all rifle sights like the website infers

I simply typed Baader in their search engine when I started snooping and it popped up 6 pages of stuff.

Seems I got the last T2 Maxbright diagonal too at $195 AUS!!!

Hi Lewis,

I have dealt with them direct buying an ES 11mm 82 deg eyepiece and again through Claude when my iOptron mount arrived with boxes broken open and slight cosmetic damage to counterweights. They sent a courier to me, picked up the damaged counterweight and delivered a new one.

Hi Lewis,
I've bought a click lock diagonal and accessories from them, had to order in but arrived on time as stated. Their web site isn't the best though 😁
They were prompt in emailing back so all was good!👍👍

I just placed an order for a Zeiss Abbe Barlow...not cheap. Tim said he was placing a bulk order with Baader Planetarium today otherwise it is a 3-6 week wait.

Extravision isn't like your average Ebay Store, it's run by people who understand and appreciate optics generally and Astronomy in particular.

Like many of Extravision Store customer's, I have given Extravision 100% positive feedback.
