16inch cassegrain & fork mount OFFERS around $2000

This is your opportunity to grab a rare and special telescope. It started life as a binoscope by Graham Loftus circa 1950. A major upgrade to the optics was taken on by Dave Brock and with his expertise an excellent Dall Kirkham type instrument has been achieved. Residual minor but inherent peripheral coma is alleviated by use of a Baader MPCC or a Parrcor.
Views are very nice indeed. 2 of the Leo triplet galaxies can be seen in one field. I have seen the Encke division and many fine moon shadow transits across Jupiter. The rille in the Alpine valley can be seen. Can you see these structures with your present telescope? ( I would appreciate any PM with a report of these sightings.)
Some pics using my modified Canon 350d are attached but I havent spent much time with this scope photographically.
Optician RFRoyce descibes the Dall Kirkham as a design that gives the most superb planetary viewing " If properly designed and constructed a Dall-Kirkham can deliver the finest images of any Cassegrain type telescope." See http://www.rfroyce.com/cassegrains.htm Dave has produced this type of result.
