We have had things go from Tuggerah to Manly or Alexandria, and take 6 days. And once, a parcel bound for the gold Coast was looped through there for a month, no word of a lie.
Funny enough, we have always called that DC "The Black Hole of Chullora."
It is a woeful place for regular mail to go through. Express seems to be immune from it though.
In contrast, my Oomph coffee mug took less than 24hrs Brisbane to Central Coast.

Fastway has a depot in Berkeley Vale, too. Much simpler.
We use TNT for anything bigger than a kilo now. Here to the local depot. Overnight to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide zones. An extra day for points between, at worst. And prices are better, too.
Got SMS yesterday about my Extravision order from Aus Post saying it will be delivered today. Now just got an SMS again saying DELAYED.
So, is Chullora a black hole or just really, really suck?
Mate... you're having such bad luck with deliveries, auspost, etc... that there's none left whatsoever for the rest of us. That's probably why we all get our packages on time without problems.
