NEW - SkyWatcher Black Diamond 10" Collapsible Dobsonian Telescope

Hi guys,

I have a brand new SkyWatcher Black Diamond 10" Collapsible Dobsonian Telescope for sale.
It is still in its box and has not even been assembled yet.
Bought it a few months back with plans on taking it to the blue mountains for observation sessions under dark skies (not worth deploying at home) but with the family having recently expanded I have not found the time to do so (have not been doing any astro actually) and it's unlikely I'll be able to take it for a few years at least, so sadly it has to go.

So it is all brand new in box, the mount is still in its flat pack. I have only opened the larger box to check the condition of the mirror - which is perfect as you would expect.

Comes with the following accessories included:
- Eyepieces: 10mm and 25mm
- 9x50 finderscope
- Ultra smooth crayford focuser

Specifications:

- Optical Design Newtonian (Parabolic)
- Diameter 254mm
- Focal Length 1200mm f/4.7
- Secondary Mirror Diameter 58mm
- Highest Practical Power 508x
- Faintest Steller Magnitude 14.7
- Resolving Power 0.45
- Finderscope 9X50
- Focuser diameter 53mm
- Eyepieces: Super Plossls 10 and 26mm (1.25*inch)
- Mount Type Dobsonian
- Ground Board Weight 12.5Kgs
- Tube Weight 15Kgs

I guess I could ship it with a courier, but given the size I'd be more comfortable if someone was willing to pick it up, but will look up an option if you are interstate or unable to pickup. I am located in Sydney.

The best price for it online is $900, selling here for $800.

Please PM if you have any questions.

Thanks
Tom

Will this generate more interest if I add in 3 eyepieces and a moon and skyglow filter?
This gives you a pretty solid starting eyepiece set:

I'll add in the following:

Wide angle (around 65degrees) eyepiece 20mm (comes with plastic bolt case)
Celestron Plossl Nexstar 8mm
Celestron Plossl Nexstar 3.6mm

moon and skyglow filter starguider brand (got the photo from the web but it's the same model and comes with its plastic case)

thanks
tom
