SMC in Deep HA and NII

Collected 25 subs of 32 min with both HA and NII. Could not see much difference so combined all fifty frames. This is about 26 hours of exposure.

Just in case you are lost here is a labelled image done with Astrometry.net.

There are some interesting targets there for those of you with longer focal lengths and reasonable speed.

Thanks for the comments all.

I thought I would try and use my system to get some really faint stuff. in narrow band.

This is a single 32 min exposure of NGC2070 binned X2 it has been corrected for darks and flats.

16b tiff

Unstretched as a 16b tiff

Unfortunately they have just upgraded Bolton Street which goes past my place out front and they have put in more dreaded high pressure Sodium street lights.

I will collect more SMC data binned X2 and use this to make a HDR composite with the full resolution data. That way resolution is maintained.
