Thanks Marco! SMC HaOIIIRGB

Yes, thanks to Marco's post here (should be stickied??), I think I've finally achieved the look im hunting for when combining narrowband with rgb.

I was amazed at how easy the PS process was, although due to my OIII subs being uncooled, I had to adopt my own tweaks to the process.

Just over 4hrs of main data, with an extra 1hr of lum partly used to contribute to star density.

Many might say 'meh, another SMC', I love the thing, every image reveals new aspects to me.

Looks like lots of NB and not much RGB, Simon. Just an observation. Looks cool, of course

Awesome!

We can see that the narrowband structures (which would take many a pleasant evening for us to photograph with our tiny field) are concentrated into an upside down question mark. They do seem to be discrete "objects", but strung out in a line like beads.

And the way you've processed it, even colourblind Mike can see the red!

Well done.

Thanks folks.

Rick, you should pixel peep more. Rgb was for the stars only however, no point for the nebs as the nb signal was so high.

Might use this as the basis for more data gathering while waiting for other targets.though a radically different target awaits, rhymes with LMC
