M8 in SHO

This is my very first SHO image. I'm not a big fan of this palette, maybe I'm just used to seeing M8 all red, but I think it's growing on me.

Roughly an hour for each filter using Svbony 7nm filters, GSO 10" F4, ZWO ASI183mm Pro.

Good work with your first SHO image. Well done! The hourglass has come out very clearly. There is a strong sense of the open cluster as a cluster, easily lost in an NB image. All our favourite features are there.

One way to get addicted to SHO images: think of it as:

H: Where the bulk of stuff is.
O: Where the harder radiation is: where it's all happening.
S: Where the more dredged-up "star-guts" is: past SNR's, WR's, etc.

Best,
MnT

Thanks MnT. I'll be still trying to wrap my head around narrow band for some time to come. Ha seems to always look the best, and I'm so used to seeing it in red. Definitely having fun with it though.
