Unnamed stars CRUX

A bit of fun.

Three stars that have no name (as far as I know) in the middle of the Cross.

Taken with a single exposure of 30s.

This is as they look in the linear image ie: the stretch was zero.
No curves transformation, no saturation, no nothing.

I moved the image into PS and did a simple blur to average the pixels.
This is there original colour straight off the camera.

Using Stellarium, they look to be:

White - HIP60845A + B ... double star Mag 7.1
Red - HIP60861 Mag 6.2
Blue - HIP60905 Mag 6.9

If these are the trio near to Alpha Crucis.

Good one Shane

They are indeed close to Alpha Crucis.

I found such a simple thing fascinating.
