Rolf deserves the same sympathy and consideration he showed his victims NONE.The sentence he received is to lenient for the lifelong suffering his victims have to endure.

Heard a rumour that they are putting him in a real low security place in a couple of weeks, bit like a glorified motel. Makes a mockery of the whole thing I reckon. Why should he not be penalised like others of his ilk and have to do the time in hard prisons. I know they get separated from the real hard liners, but to send him to this place is a bloody joke....

Andrew, it is on public record that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi was framed.... flight records show that he could not have done it, furthermore a former employee of (the) Mossad confirms it. (Victor Ostrovsky)

I can point you to the source if you like.

c

PS. More worrying is the fact that MI6 were in possession of evidence that incontrovertibly exonerated Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi (and Libya) during the trial, but knowingly failed to disclose it. (presumably for a political agenda)

Hope he has a hard time in prison, even that is too good for him, what a low life he is. When you read the victims' reports on how he went about it all-it makes you sick. What a dingo he is-should be hung up side down.

A man in a trench coat with three legs entertaining children. Even as a child myself at the time I knew that was not right. I'd suggest we start looking on eBay for a portrait of the Queen, there might be one going cheap from seller UKQueen001.

And others say he wasnt, but that blurs the point.

Lets use Ronnie Biggs instead, as the principle is the same.
He lasted something like 4 years after being on his death bed,
so it wasnt too bad.
If you are crook, they "can" let you go.
Lets see how long before Rolfs fans push for compassionate release.

I also note that in the last few days, the current British enquiry into child abuse has just found out that a lot of data/accusations?? leading ( allegedly) back to people in Westminster has "gone missing".

One quote i saw attributed to Norman Tebbit ( a UK pollie back in the 80s ) was
Quote:
“At that time, I think most people would have thought that the establishment, the system, was to be protected and if a few things had gone wrong here and there that it was more important to protect the system than to delve too far into it,”
Whos really covering up for who??????

Wow Chris, I didn't think anyone could hate Dingo's that much.

Unlike Ronald Biggs I doubt Harris has any fans that will be calling for an early and/or compassionate release.

I sincerely hope you are right, but it would be interesting to know how many people in high places may slowly and quietly start to lobby for him in exchange for silence on other topics.
Based on what is now coming out in all the current royal commissions etc, it certainly looks like the people who circulate at that level in society seem to think laws dont apply to them, and ensure that nothing damaging reaches the light of day if discovered accidentally.

Rolf Harris is an oxygen thief, doesn't deserve sympathy or anyones time spent deliberating on his fate, should have been hung.

Will Rolf Harris survive prison?
Only if the staff remember to lock the cell door every night.
Greg.

I received this one in an email this morning. I just hope he lives long enough for someone to enjoy him.

As the door of his cell slams shut behind him and the lights go out Rolf Harris puts his head in his hands. He thinks of what he has done and begins to cry. Suddenly behind him a voice sings

"Did you think I would leave you crying when there's room in my bunk for two"

Slightly naughty but sing along

There's an old Australian entertainer, sighing, crying
And he shrugs off his legal team
And he turns to the reporters, gathered all around him
And he says

Won’t have much hope for a grope, bloke
Won’t have much hope for a grope
At my age I can’t bend for the soap, bloke
There'll be no hope of a grope

All together now

The judge is sending me down, sport
Judge is sending me down
The news is all over town, sport
The judge is sending me down

It was only a compliment love, guv
Just a compliment love
There’s no need to cry “Heavens Above”, guv
Just a compliment love
All together now

The judge is sending me down, sport
Judge is sending me down
The news is all over town, sport
The judge is sending me down

A non-paying guest of the Queen, bean
A non-paying guest of the Queen
Should’ve sacked me legal team, bean
Now I’m gonna get me bum reamed
All together now

The judge is sending me down, sport
Judge is sending me down
The news is all over town, sport
The judge is sending me down

It's only been in recent times that people/kids feel they can finally speak up about any abuse.
Back then anything untoward was ignored.
Or you were told off for being a liar.
Or if you had been groomed, you didn't realise that this isn't how life is supposed to be.
Seeing how it's mostly perpetrated by someone close to the family, one got told that "you don't want to make dear Aunt Patsie sad by saying something bad about old Uncle Alf." or "Our priest wouldn't do anything to hurt you, stop lying" and you got the strap to make you shut up.

Times have changed for the better now. And hopefully they will continue to do so.

Your dead right Jeanette, if one spoke about a priest like that, even if it were true, one would be in big trouble and get belted for it.
With, "how could a priest do that"

They have a lot to answer for. (The Clergy that is.)

The good thing coming out of all this is that it's high profile and it's sending a clear message out there. No matter who you are, try this once and you'll do the time. No compromise. In retrospect what that mongrel Savile did was even worse.
