Supernova in ESO 428-G14

When I was at the Barambah Dark Sky Camp I observed the bright supernova 2008 fp in the constellation of Canis Major.
Eyepieces used, 13 mm Nagler and a 2x Barlow with a 16" Truss Dob.
At 13.9mag and the galaxy at 13.26 mag it was a it of a challenge to observe them, as at times the seeing was not very good as they where still low down and close to the tree line when observed.
The Transparency and seeing overall in the 6 days was very good and the nice dark sky's helped to do some good supernova searching
but no luck for finding one of my own
