That would be neat

I have just had a 20" mirror recoated by Wayne Sainty at Saintech.

His prices are very reasonable and the coating work, turn around time, packing and shipping is first class. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I just edited that and still did not work. My 12 inch is actually ten inches. Was told it was 12, but started having doubts. See, Oh, and I removed the Mirror, It is only 10 1/4 inches in total -- guy who sold me the Scope told me it was 12 inches, but was having doubts. Mirror is marked as #206 in Texta pen, Tube diameter at top is 11 13/16th inches, 11 3/8 inches inside diameter. It measures 5 foot 1 inch long. Approximate distance from main mirror to the diagonal is 49 inches, meaning it will be an F5 I guess. The mirror is 1 3/4 inch thick.

John you cannot insert a picture by typing a URL path to an image on your Mac.

The dialog box to add attachments has:
- buttonsto select one or more file, then
- another button to upload them, and
- it should confirm at the bottom which ones uploaded with the file sizes.
- then the button at the bottom “close this window”:::

Note the file size must be under 200kB or it won’t load.

One way to do that in OS X is open the image the way you like (Preview will do) and take a screenshot of the portion you want (cmd-shift-4).

Open the screenshot in Preview and sekect Save As under the file menu - this has a slider where you can reduce the jpeg quality significantly which also makes the file a LOT smaller. Once under 200kB, save that and upload as per above.

A 10 inch is ok and for the price you have done well.
Good luck uploading.
