Ic 2944 & ngc 3324

I was hoping to get more northern objects last night but conditions were iffy so I went for some more available targets including the Chicken - almost got the feet in; I'll have another go and try to fit it all in.

I notice there's a planetary nebula in the top right corner - anyone know what it is?

TS115/0.75 reducer, L-Enhance fitler, 15x5 minutes

Also got the Gabriela Mistral region, ngc3324, 16x5 min

What a great image Tony. The Bocs are just floating over the neb. Really nice depth to it. Well done 👍

Thanks Ryan. Conditions were set to improve as I packed up around 12.30am - I would have imaged all night but I had to drive to the city today.

I only know cause I imaged it last year, and soon after someone pointed it out in someone else's pic.

Thanks Chris. It would look interesting with a bigger scope, or even centered in the frame since it would be sharper.

Colour and detail while maintaining the darker shadows of light and shade. Great stuff. Outstanding as always.

Thanks guys. It's a relatively bright nebula which is always nice.

I agree with Andy, your certainly ready to post your images in the Deep Space section
Great images

Well Done !!
All you Victorians are have been getting some decent imaging time outside recently, not like us in NSW , fires, floods, rain and now cloud over the past 4 months. We are suppose to get some decent weather in a week , here's hoping ?

Thanks for the encouragement Martin. We've had a few clear hours here or there, but we have to keep an eye out and be ready to go - mostly cloudy nights still.

I can only echo what others have already said Tony.
& here's an invitation to 'The Deep Space Forum' if ever there was one.
No pressure
