I need to get 1 or 2 smaller counterweights for my G11 (it's compatible with the EQ8 counterweights). My new scope is so light (about 5-6kgs with everything attached) that the 10kg counterweight is far too heavy. I need some much lighter weights to use (about 2x3kg, I assume?).
Does anyone know where I can get something suitable, hopefully in Brisbane? Or even places where I might be able to get something made? Astro Pete has 10kg EQ8 weights and I phoned but he has nothing else suitable it seems.
I can see Bintel has 7lb weights for $109 + freight (11lb is $169 + freight), which i guess I'll have to do if I can't do something better locally.
