February Photo Challenge - Entries (Post them here)

The topic this month is: "Different".

This thread is only for posting your entries and any comments you'd like to make about your own photo.
If you would like to comment on other entries please use the comments thread.
As usual, one entry per person and the image must be your own work.
Normal forum rules and image size applies.

The image doesn't necessarily have to have been taken this month but we do encourage you to go out and enjoy the challenge.

The winner of the poll, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic.

Good luck and good shooting.

This is something a bit different, I certainly haven't anything like this, before or since. The subject is sitting on a geranium, doing something we all take for granted - but I'll let the picture tell the rest of the story.

Image Details - Canon 20d, Sigma EX 180 f3.5, f13 @1/30th of a sec iso 800

Here's my photo of February. Taken on NYE actually, but developed later and published now. It's New Year in Apollo Bay, Victoria. I loved my Canon's ability to get fireworks and stars together in one shot. RAW file developed in Lightroom.

White frog on green background

This fella I think is an albino 'WHITE' tree frog found in my garden today. Never seen a white frog before, might be a rare species? He is not camouflaged very well against predators

Ooh er, my first foray into the Photo challenge!

I have a colleague who loves growing heirloom vegetables for the bright colours and unusual shapes they bring to her garden. She has been kind enough to bring in some interesting finds from the garden - and this "Turk's Turban" takes the credit for the most unusual pumpkin I've ever seen. These pumpkins are wildly coloured and appear to bulge out of their skin so vigorously that they look like they've split their seams.

Quite a challenging subject : )
So I goes for a sunrise (not for something different) and most of the upper thin cloud burnt off leaving me with little options ! so I tries and catch some Sun & Surf action at 160mm, makes it kinda different ?
