DWI Photographics, new or refurbed gear???

i just bought a cannon 24-105 from them to replace the one I have that is faulty. They were selling them for $745 delivered so I figured buying a new one at that price would about the same cost as repairing the one I have.

It arrived in two days from Hong Kong which was bloody quick, but when I opened the box it was just a plain white box, not a cannon box. Also had no manual or documentation of any kind. Just the lense, hood and leather pouch.

The lens looks brand new with no marks of any kind but this leaves me to think this is either a fake or a refurbed unit.

It seems to work quite well from what I can tell but I haven't examined any of the images on my pc yet so time will tell

Has anyone heard of DWI passing refurbed equipment for brand new?

Thanks
Sandy

The 24-105mm comes as a kit lens. They just separated the lens from the body
